Nine Twenty-Two
We started as a plant, flower, and gift shop called HortiCulture Design Co. and opened in the middle of the pandemic in June of 2020 in Norfolk, Virginia. Fortunately, people were looking for something happy and positive and plants and flowers were just the thing. We opened a second location in Virginia Beach in January of 2021.
Because we have quickly become known as the place for beautiful home goods and hard-to-find gifts, we have recently rebranded to Nine Twenty-Two to reflect everything our brand encompasses.
Our vibe is clean and modern and we're kind of picky about what we carry. All of our products must be well-designed, well-made and well-priced for what they are, with bonus points for gorgeous packaging and being able to support small makers. We know it's the little things that make people happy and we seek high and low to provide you with special things that make everyday life a little bit better.

A Dodson’s
A. Dodson’s is not just a store – it’s a destination! Unlike almost anything else in retail today, A. Dodson’s is a shopper’s oasis, where you can select from trendy clothing, distinctive home furnishings, exquisite gifts, and antiques of yesteryear. We are serious about style, yet you will find this shop unpredictable, quirky and alluring.
Born from the imagination of owner Alison Dodson Anderson, who grew up playing in the aisles of her grandfather’s general store and who has spent most of her life in retail, the shop doesn’t model perfection or prescribe one style like some retail stores. Alison and her talented staff don’t just assist the customer by selling an unprecedented mix of merchandise – furniture, table top, apparel, antiques, gifts – they provide a range of ideas. Whether searching for the perfect hostess gift on your lunch hour or hoping to furnish an entire room, you are sure to be pleased by the selection at A. Dodson’s. Let one of our personal shoppers help you find that special something or put together a complete outfit! Our friendly staff is standing by ready to enhance your shopping experience. You might just be surprised by the outcome.

Self-Led Walking Tours
Go on a self-led tour around Suffolk using the Traipse app!
Traipse is a free smartphone application that leads users on a walking tour of landmarks and local businesses, or in non-urban settings on a driving tour of cultural heritage and agri-tourism sites. At each stop on a Traipse tour, users get some information about that site and are challenged with a location-dependent riddle or puzzle to solve. Traipse “gamifies” the experience of visiting a tourist attraction or leisure destination, or attending an event – much like Fitbit gamifies exercise or Pokemon Go facilitates collecting virtual artifacts in real world locations – while also involving local businesses and organizations.

Prince Ink
We are brothers Dustin and Matthew Wallace, the youngest old guys you'll ever meet. To say that we are passionately old-fashioned in our approach to printing and design would be an understatement. Craftsmanship, a strong work ethic and attention to detail are in our DNA. (Seriously, we had blood tests.) The early American style of hand-crafted, high-quality products is alive and well here at TPIC. In fact, we still hand print every job we do, with manual screen presses even in this day of automated machinery. For hands-on printing, we're hands-down the best.
We've been printing since 2006, but The Prince Ink Company was born in 2009, cleverly disguised as Fairwell Design. Our intent was to be a full-service design and print studio, but the demands were too great and, more importantly, it kept us from our first love, screen printing. So we returned to our roots in 2011 and re-emerged as the company we are today. We're happier and our clients seem to be, too. They seem to really appreciate our passion for their projects, our personal involvement from start to finish and our love of unique and challenging assignments.
Maison Soleil
Maison Soleil is a fair trade boutique aimed at bringing people together and empowering women. Here you’ll find ethical and sustainable fashion benefiting the women who created the pieces. The Ghent shop is aimed at amplifying traditionally underrepresented voices and encouraging those seeking to be a more active part of their community by offering opportunities for education and conversation.
The Industrial Cottage
The Industrial Cottage was born in 2005 as a high end baby bedding manufacturer. I sewed my fingers off to get our products into retail stores across the country. Then in 2007 when the economy tanked and all the little specialty stores were going out of business, we made the hard choice to take a step back and regroup. We relocated to Virginia Beach to be near family and took a few years to get settled. During that time, we fostered and adopted 3 more kids! Insert a few crazy years there! Then we found Furniture! It is truly my passion. I love taking quality pieces, that just need a little love, updating and turning them into something beautiful that people will love all over again.
